Description

Kelvedon House is seeking a person experienced in General maintenance knowledge / experience of repairs eg basic plumbing, minor electrical, basic joinery, painting and decorating.

You will have basic administration associated with record keeping and awareness of Health and Safety matters.

You should be a clear and effective communicator and able to relate well to a variety of people such as residents, relatives and other staff.

You will be self - motivated, tidy and be able manage, prioritise and work to deadlines.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure the safe maintenance of the group premises
To work alongside the Management to ensure delivery of a safe and prompt maintenance service to our service users maintaining effective communication with management
To ensure our premises and gardens are maintained to a high standard and are presentable at all times.
To promptly act upon maintenance tasks as requested in the maintenance request book, or Maintenance Manager. To priorities maintenance tasks which impact of resident's safety, and ensures that resident safety is promoted at all times.
To ensure compliance with the Home's Fire Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Annual Inspection conducted by our consultant.
Undertake responsibilities as outlined in the Company's Health and Safety Handbook, Employee Handbook, Maintenance Handbook and Quality Manual
To take part in staff and maintenance meetings when necessary
To work well with all departments of the home to ensure a safe living environment for our residents
