Job Description:

As a Demolition Operative, you will be part of a skilled team responsible for executing demolition projects from start to finish.

Your role will involve utilizing your expertise to demolish structures, clear sites, and contribute to the safe removal of debris.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of assignments.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform demolition activities, including dismantling, cutting, and breaking down structures using hand tools, power tools, and hot works.
  • Adhere to project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines to ensure efficient and safe execution of demolition tasks.
  • Safely operate various demolition equipment while maintaining a high level of precision.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
  • Remove and dispose of debris and hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate efforts, optimize workflow, and achieve project milestones within designated timelines.
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning and report any defects or issues promptly.
  • Follow established company policies and procedures to maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in demolition or related fields is highly preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with various demolition techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and project specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality work.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
  • Adherence to safety regulations and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Salary:
From £11.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North East: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
