Food Technology Teacher

Start Date:

  • Plan and deliver lessons to pupils.
  • Work closely with specialist lead.
  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • Supporting pupils in the cooking of repertoire of predominantly savoury dishes to support a varied and healthy diet.
  • An understanding of the source, seasonality and characteristics of a broad range of ingredients
  • The ability to adapt and use own recipes
  • Support pupils in becoming aware of taste, texture, smell and deciding how to season and combine ingredients.
  • ECT/QTS/PGCE qualification
    (essential):
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one
  • The right to work within the UK
