We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Academic Support Officer to join our team at INTO University of East Angia.
As an Academic Support Officer, you will provide a comprehensive professional support service to students and staff to ensure the student journey from pre arrival to progression, is first class.
To work with colleagues across the INTO UEA centre, the university of East Anglia and INTO University Partnerships to ensure all students enjoy a warm welcome to the centre, comply with registration, enjoy an informative induction and receive excellent & timely onboarding to their programme of studies.
You will support key areas as follows - timetable support, setting up registers, VLE set up, attendance monitoring and reporting, student reports, assessment scheduling, assessment board preparation, data analysis/recording, inputting, and exporting data to/from the student management system and many other functions that supports students.
Key Accountabilities:
- You will Contribute to the development of a collaborative working environment to maintain and enhance the quality of the student learning experience and staff experience.
- Support the arrival, welcome, induction, registration and onboarding of students to the centre.
- You will attend and take minutes at appropriate academic programme meetings.
- Effective maintenance of student records, including attendance, progression and grades;
- Assist with the development and implementation of assessment/examination schedules plus the invigilation process.
- Ensure that student related processes are correctly followed, and accurate student records are kept, in accordance with policies, compliance and with GDPR.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to student queries, including referring to other services as required.
- Support with providing External Examiners with required administrative support and materials and with the Exam Board preparation and release of results, in accordance with quality standards.
- Contribute to the monitoring and review of pastoral and academic support for all the students.
- Support the effective maintenance of student records, including registration, attendance, progression, and grades.
- Contribute to the development of a collaborative working environment to maintain and enhance the quality of the student learning experience and the working conditions of Centre staff.

You will have excellent attention to detail with outstanding command of written and spoken English
You will have the ability to deal with multiple priorities at the same time and deal with unexpected situations successfully
You will be able to build and manage relationships with peers, senior managers, academic stakeholders, parents and students from a range of linguistic, ethnic and cultural background
You will have the right to work in the UK.
