Rate:
£70-£100 per day, depending on experience

Principal Resourcing are actively working to recruit a
Primary HLTA to provide general cover across our partnership primary academy based in
Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The position is expected to commence
February 2023 and will be
ongoing to meet the needs of the school.

The community special school offers fantastic learning opportunities for children and young people with a range of SEND needs, including those with ASD and communication difficulties.

Through the input of an outstanding staff team, the school aims to provide a child centred approach to education that caters to pupils individual interests and strengths within a nurturing and supportive environment.

You will ideally have some curriculum knowledge across al key stages to support children with SEND. This role could suit a early career teacher (ECT) who is looking to gain extra experience within the classroom.

Within the role you will be required to:

Teach groups of SEND children in the Teachers absence
Support and enthuse young learners to reach their potential
React to children's interests to offer a child centred approach
Provide opportunities that will excite and ignite a passion for learning
Ensure children are engaging in their learning and actively participating
Set the highest expectations for behaviour and achievement

Skills and attributes:

Experience supporting children at KS1/KS2/KS
Cache Level 3 minimum or equivalent experience in a similar setting
Experience of supporting children with additional needs and disabilities
Minimum of 5 GCSE's, including Maths, English and Science at Grade C or above
Have empathy, patience and the drive to make a difference
An observant and responsive approach
A positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
Foster positive relationships with colleagues, children and parents/carers
