The joint board Authority is funded by Hull City Council, North Lincolnshire Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council and has one of the largest geographical areas set in beautiful East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

The expanding and thriving Humber port facilities form the largest ports complex in the UK. Port health has seldom had a higher profile and the work is both challenging and rewarding.

We seek a reliable and highly motivated individual to join our professional team in a new post for an initial period of up to 12 months.

You will predominantly be involved in providing support and assistance to the Port Health Inspectors and Official Veterinarians in the completion of day-to-day administrative tasks associated with imported food control.

Following training, your diverse range of duties could, depending on your qualification and achieved competencies, include ship boarding, water and food sampling, pollution control and food premises inspections.

For further information in relation to the post please contact Sally Johnson, Chief Port Health Inspector on the number above.
