Role Purpose


As a Production Operative you will work as part of a robust and fast paced Production Department making products and components, assembling and packing the finished product.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble part and fully finished electrical components / products
  • Visual quality check and testing (where trained to do so)
  • Boxing, packing and shipping
  • Preparing components for production, feeding machines
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
  • Follow the relevant working instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring of quality, and manufacturing procedures, informing production team leaders / managers or colleagues, where necessary
  • Communicate status of work and report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Production Team Leader
  • Handle components and equipment appropriately and for intended purpose
  • Follow instruction and procedures correctly to enable you to be competent in aspects of product assembly
  • Participate in training as required
  • Promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department that complies with procedures and completes near miss reporting, to promote a safe working environment
  • Partake and contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives. Promote Lean Manufacturing culture.
  • Undertake any other reasonable request

PERSON PROFILE

Experience, Qualifications and Role Specific Skills

Education / Qualifications
Preferable

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, both verbal and written
  • A certified counterbalance FLT driver is advantageous.

Work Experience
Preferable

  • Can demonstrate working in safe manner and to good H&S practices
  • Good level of dexterity
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment
