MUST be based in NORTHERN IRELAND MUST be eligible for JobStart program**This role is for an engineering company. As a Graduate Design & Production Engineer, you will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to production and implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure our products are innovative, reliable, and manufactured efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to develop new product concepts and prototypes.
- Use CAD software to create detailed designs and technical drawings.
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing to verify design performance and manufacturability.
- Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and functionality.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to implement designs into production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any designrelated issues during production.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Assist in supplier management and sourcing of components.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 2D and 3D modeling.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts and ideas.
- Detailoriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Previous internships or project experience related to design and manufacturing is a plus.

Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position
Work Time:
Flexible within Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
Salary: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour
