MUST be based in NORTHERN IRELAND MUST be eligible for JobStart program**This role is for an engineering company. As a Graduate Design & Production Engineer, you will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to production and implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure our products are innovative, reliable, and manufactured efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to develop new product concepts and prototypes.
Use CAD software to create detailed designs and technical drawings.
Conduct feasibility studies and testing to verify design performance and manufacturability.
Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and functionality.
Work closely with manufacturing teams to implement designs into production.
Troubleshoot and resolve any designrelated issues during production.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Assist in supplier management and sourcing of components.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 2D and 3D modeling.
Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts and ideas.
Detailoriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Previous internships or project experience related to design and manufacturing is a plus.

Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position

Work Time:
Flexible within Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00.

Salary: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour
