Description
PRU - Alternative Provision Practitioner £80 - £100U-Educate are looking for Alternative Provision Practitioners to deliver its very own programmes across North Solihull.
We are looking for practitioners who are creative and bring with them imaginative ideas that aid and support the programme.
Your experience will assist you in managing challenging behaviour and will assist you in receiving results both academically and behaviourally.
Job description- Support with an Alternative Provision programme that is targeted to support students with their engagement, attitudes to learning, as well as their social, emotional and overall welfare needs
- Dealing with issues of challenging behaviour
- Responding to and being responsible for safeguarding concerns
- Responsible for safety
- To create and lead on sessions for a small cohort of students (4 max)
- Organise, attend and communicate the outcomes of parent and pupil meetings
- Effectively build a positive rapport with students
Requirements:
- counselling skills including active listening and a non-judgemental approach
- knowledge of psychology
- knowledge of teaching and the ability to design and lead on sessions
- sensitivity and understanding of child protection
- patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Relevant experience dealing with behaviour across key stages 3 /
- Confident to deal with challenging characters
- Able to commit to full timetable, reliability and consistency is key to this role
- To attend CPD training
- Part Time Hours (Days and Hours TBC)
- £20 per hour, £80 - £100 per day
