About the Company
Wudhus Ltd is a family owned and operated business located in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. This is our hub - the home of our national call centre, service desk, management team and stores.

We have an ambitious plan for organic growth, and currently provide services to residential customers across the UK.

Currently, we operate two main brands under the parent company:
Home Digital Services (TV aerials & satellites) and Garage Doors Fixed (garage door repair and installation).


These services are delivered by a team of technicians, or 'techies' as we call them, operating within their own regions.

Typically, we have 80 or more full-time techies.


They are supported by a small team at our head office and working remotely - handling inbound customer enquiries, quotations, booking, planning and despatching jobs.

We're now looking for an experienced delivery driver with practical, hands-on skills to assist our techies in the field.

The role will require regular travel and time on-site with your colleagues and our customers.

Reporting to our Operations Manager and you will be supporting our operations by delivering new garage doors and assisting with the installation.

You will also be delivering parts etc. and from time to time be required to assist within our warehouse operation.


As such, you will need to be a physically fit, have good attention to detail, organisational skills and a practical mindset.

The role will also require early starts and occasional overtime, as well as overnight stays. Therefore, you'll also be a flexible person, with a positive, "can-do" attitude and a proactive approach.


Teamwork skills will be essential, as you'll need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues - from senior management to field technicians and office staff.


You will be required to balance the commercial requirements of the business alongside effective time management, whilst always maintaining health & safety as a priority.


Responsibilities

  • Driving:_
  • Collection and delivery of parts and goods, loading and unloading.
  • Represent the company professionally by driving responsibly.
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of company vehicles.
  • Fitting:_
  • Physical work, including lifting working safely at all times.
  • Assist with fitting work, use of power tools.
  • Present a professional appearance to our customers at all times.
  • Warehouse duties :_
- stock management and ordering
- stock picking and loading
- warehouse housekeeping


From time to time, according to the demands of the business, you may be required to perform additional ad-hoc tasks outside of these listed responsibilities.


Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a handson role, including use of power tools.
  • Flexible and prepared to work overtime, plus overnight stays, when required.
  • Confident communicating professionally with suppliers, colleagues and customers.
  • Reliability and time management skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence (no serious driving offences).
  • Experience driving a long wheel base van (Sprinter or equivalent).
  • Aged 25+ due to company insurance policies.
