Main purpose of the post:


To ensure prospective students receive high quality information at assemblies, careers evenings, and other events throughout the year so that they make an informed choice about their post 16 studies.

You will work alongside the Admissions, Liaison and Events Manager to develop and maintain effective relationships with partner schools, prospective students and their parents.

You will also proactively seek out opportunities to further extend our school liaison work with the aim to successfully attracting students to the college.

Main Duties:


1.
Operational/Strategic Planning


1.1 Assist the Admissions, Liaison and Events Manager in the preparation of an annual Self-Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan for the area but in particular for the liaison function.


1.2 Promote/raise awareness of Ashton Sixth Form College post-16 offer to students in key feeder schools, representing the brand at all times and supporting students in making appropriate choices for their next step.

1.3 To deliver presentations to external audiences, including at school assemblies, classroom presentations, workshops etc

1.4 To attend and represent the College at school promotional events e.g. careers fairs, parents evenings, futures roadshows etc


1.5 Coordinate the delivery of an effective school events calendar - organising diary dates, ensuring appropriate staffing, preparing resources, collating event materials, etc.

1.6 Establish and maintain working relationships with relevant school careers advisers and other staff, including Heads of Year. Build effective relationships with key school contacts to maximise promotional opportunities and build essential links with schools.


1.7 To assist in the organisation and delivery of college recruitment events for different audiences eg Year 10 tasters, curriculum specific events ie.

English Festival, STEM day etc, New Student Days, Parent Conference and Welcome Evenings, XL Academy events, etc.

1.8 Support the organisation and delivery of the yearly careers and school link advisors information event.

1.9 Support the Admissions Officer to effectively plan and organise the Guidance meetings events for prospective students.

1.10 Run the Student Ambassador programme to facilitate support at Open Days, Taster Days, and other events.


1.11 Work with the Admissions, Liaison and Events Manager to liaise with relevant staff cross-college in support of developing school link opportunities.


1.12 Work with the Marketing Assistant to promote and raise the profile of events and school liaison activities within the local press, on the college website and other communication channel.


1.13 Work within the wider Admissions, Liaison & Events team alongside the Admissions Officer and Marketing Assistant to achieve recruitment targets.


1.14 Carry out administrative duties in relation to school liaison and event management processes and maintain develop a school marketing database up to date with new information, including key contacts ie.

Heads of Year 11, Careers contacts, numbers in year groups and activity undertaken.

1.15 Assist in producing risk assessments for all liaison activities and college events.


1.16 Work with the Trust Marketing team to produce effective schools marketing materials and ensure that schools have adequate supplies of, and use, Ashton Sixth Form College promotional materials.

1.17 Share the College's Vision, Mission, Values and communicate them effectively

1.18 Contribute to cross college events as required
