Description

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Independent Age as they look to recruit a new Head of Grants and Partnerships to their team.

This role will be responsible for the successful development and implementation of the grants strategy, for overseeing partnerships, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, and for helping Independent Age evidence and articulate their impact.

Head of Grants and Partnerships

£59,250 per annum, increasing to £60,900 after 6 months and £62,550 after 12 months

Hybrid, minimum 4 Days Per Month in London Office

Full Time, Permanent
Independent Age is a national charity providing support for older people facing financial hardship.

They offer free and impartial advice and information, provide grants and work in partnership with other organisations, and use the knowledge and understanding gained from their services to highlight the issues experienced by older people who are facing financial insecurity.

The Head of Grants and Partnerships will be responsible for the effective and impactful management all of Independent Age's grant-making programmes.

You will ensure that they have appropriate high quality, efficient and effective systems and processes to create a strong foundation for their grant making operations and delivery going forward.

You will develop and coach the team to reach their full potential.

Working closely with SLT, National Services and Policy & Influencing, you will identify and lead on the development of strategic partnerships that support meaningful collaboration and support wider impact.

You will take both a leadership role, and oversight, of strategic partnerships within the Grants & Partnerships team, working across Independent Age.

A key focus of the work will be how they can build partnerships across their grantee cohort, and for the Grants & Partnerships team to be a conduit between these organisations and other teams across Independent Age.

Working closely with other senior colleagues including in the Philanthropy and Partnerships team, you will identify and build relationships with key funders including Trusts and Foundations with an interest in supporting work with older people.

Working with the Director of Services and other colleagues, you will support the implementation of the impact strategy, ensuring accurate data and measures are developed and captured.

With significant experience at a senior level of grant making strategy development and implementation, and of partnership development, you will be familiar with a range of evaluation approaches and frameworks, be experienced in undertaking due diligence and risk assessments, and will have successfully led and managed teams.

  • If you are passionate about our cause, share their values and believe you have the skills for this role, then we'd love to meet you. Independent Age offer great benefits including 28 days annual leave plus public holidays, a generous pension scheme with life assurance, and fantastic learning and development opportunities. _
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working is standard for everyone (those contracted to work in the office usually attend one day per week). But if you need a different form of flexibility, they are happy to talk flexible working._
