Accounts Assistant, Permanent £30,0000 - £35,000 - London (Onsite)


The opportunity to join a thriving retail brand known for its commitment to quality and innovation are seeking a skilled and ambitious Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team on a permanent basis.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Take full responsibility for monthend close, journal entries, overseeing accruals, prepayments and fixed assets depreciation
  • Prepare the month end purchase report
  • Full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Quarterly VAT returns and staying up to date on VAT regulations
  • Prepare weekly management reports
  • Oversee weekly customer payment allocations, supervise sales invoices and mange debt collection
  • Assist the management accountant with adhoc analysis and projects
  • Provide support to the Junior Accountant

Experience:
  • A qualification or degree in accounting or finance or related field
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding of doubleentry booking
  • Analytical mindset
  • Able to confidently communicate with other areas of the business
