WHAT TO EXPECT


Sitting under Design - DAG (Digital Asset Group) is a centralised PMO supporting all departmental teams, responsible for operational planning, resource management, coordination and reporting of all production and development programmes and projects, in addition to managing department finance and environmental requirements.


As a Senior Programme Planner, you will be responsible for the delivery of assigned activities undertaken by the team, working in close alignment with the internal production and development teams, under direction from management.

Maintaining and nurturing all key stakeholder and customer relationships and contributing to the overall strategic development and delivery of the department.


The Senior Programme Planner will also be required to drive the development of our project management capabilities and toolsets, aligned to wider core business and departmental transformation and strategic imperatives.

Driving positive change across our activities, ensuring maximised operational effectiveness and efficiency, and a first-class service and experience for our customers and stakeholders.

Additionally, supporting the development and growth of surrounding Programme Planners to increase the team capacity and capability.


WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Coordinate projects as part of a PMO team to ensure successful delivery of programme and business objectives across the Digital Assets Group (DAG)
  • Manages resource forecast plans and highlight potential risks
  • Manage new Digital Asset requests and create programme plans for delivery
  • Identify issues impacting delivery against agreed programme plan and support resolution
  • Assign resource to programmes in collaboration with DVA Management and Supervisors
  • Manages workstack backlog and interfaces regularly with key stakeholders and DVA management to ensure prioritised
  • Liaise regularly with key stakeholders and customers to communicate progress against current programme plan and align on future ones
  • Create clear reportout documentation and metrics to support management reviews and escalate status / issues where required
  • Identify opportunities to improve the way we work across our teams and directly lead on these initiatives
  • Actively shares knowledge across teams and helps to define best practice
  • Provide guidance and act as mentor to lesser experienced planners
  • Undertake any other work as directed by the Digital Assets manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:


  • Experience in project management / planning methods and processes (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience of using project management or planning software (Wrike, Smartsheets, JIRA, Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Transformation and change management experience
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
