Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Network)

£40k - £47k

Cambridge


A Cambridge based education organisation are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on the Networks to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working closely with the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the internal IT Networks and infrastructure. C60% of your time will be focused on network management, upgrades, and monitoring, with the remaining 40% of your time split between projects, assistingwith escalations and any other support that may be required

The Role:


  • Network Monitoring
  • Manage network disaster recovery
  • Systems Administration
- 'Team Lead' when the IT Manager is away

  • IT Projects
  • Hardware and Software support
  • Supporting AV equipment

What we are looking for?

  • Strong networking experience (HP and Aruba)
  • Previous systems administration experience
  • Windows support (some Linux would be very useful, but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full right to work in the UK
