Role Profile

Cast have partnered with a rapidly growing industrial supplies business, who are looking to strengthen its senior management team with the recruitment of an experienced Operations Director.

Based in Swindon, In this role, you will be responsible for the Leading the daily Logistics & Supply Chain operations with the aim of consistently deliver outstanding service to their clients.

Responsibilities:

Working with other peers on development and implementation of Company operational strategy and target achievement.
Seeks efficiency opportunities, including automation of current processes [bar coding etc], integrated systems, warehouse management systems. Researches, analyses and presents findings with cost and ROI analysis to Board then project manages agreed actions.
Maintains highest level of health and safety. Working closely with our Legal and Compliance manager.
Manages the warehouse and transport KPI's, highlighting any issues, and seeking solutions
Day to day management of transport team and logistics partnerships
Manages the stock location & storage
Works with IT to ensure the effective use of the ERP system
Manages the recruitment process for key roles in transport and warehousing
Works with team leads across departments to ensure effective stock planning, inventory and management and demand planning processes are followed.
Training and development of the warehouse and transport teams promoting continuous development across the teams.
