The Amelia is an amazing cultural hub that houses art exhibitions, cultural resources, library, and Council services.

With over 300,000 visitors in the first year of opening, a destination of national repute, and a facility that's leading the way in delivering an integrated, visitor first, culture and community destination.


Customer Experience Assistant

  • You will respond to our customer enquiries via our busy contact centre
  • You will advise on a face to face basis front of house
  • Advising on a range of services that will include Council Tax, parking enquiries, Assembly Hall Theatre bookings, tourist information
  • Assisting with library services
  • Assist with the delivery of many exciting events and much more


To be successful, you will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to advise customers across a broad range of Council and Amelia services, full training will be given, and contribute positively to both the team and visitor experience.


In return you will be offered a starting salary of £23,180 raising to £25,745 in line with meet the career progression criteria, plus great benefits including membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

22 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an additional day in December (this leave will be pro-rata for part-time staff).
