We currently have a full time, permanent role for an Eastern Hemisphere Senior Compensation Analyst to join the team in Aberdeen.

SUMMARY
The Sr. Compensation Analyst has a primary focus on the UK, and international regions, and supports global projects.

Works with business stakeholders, HR partners and the Compensation management to plan, develop, implement, document, and administer all aspects of compensation including job evaluation, market pricing, establishment and annual review of salary structures and ranges, merit budgeting, annual merit increase planning, internal pay equity, incentive programs, expatriate pay programs, and variable pay.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Actively participates in the planning, design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, providing guidance and assistance regarding compensation programs.
  • Provides technical, analytical and project management support for a wide range of compensation projects designed to support business strategies i.e., job architecture, compensation systems.
  • Analyzes market data to identify current trends and market movement and makes recommendations to the Manager Compensation based on insights and observations of the outcome of the analysis.
  • Completes together with the Compensation Analyst annual market analysis and recommends competitive merit budget and structure movement for upcoming fiscal year.
  • Serves as primary contact for various compensation survey groups and thirdparty compensation consultants. Seeks new sources of market data applicable to jobs at Core Laboratories.
  • Prepares data submissions to key compensation surveys and answers inquiries related to the submissions.
  • Reviews and completes job evaluations on new and revised job descriptions and recommends appropriate salary grade assignments.
  • Performs Overtime Exemption status review of new and existing jobs to ensure full compliance with local countries' Exemption provisions.
  • Prepares and supports together with the Compensation Analyst the annual LTI grant cycle and award management in the system. Leads the vesting schedules administration process.
  • Directs IT in the setup of information in the Information Systems' job tables and audits job table information to ensure accuracy. Inactivates job information that is no longer used to ensure only current information is available for use in manager selfservice.
  • May construct and/or lead the planning of the annual merit planning process. Partners with HR partners, business leader and payroll colleagues.
  • Supports the development and implementation of compensation training for managers. May participate in delivering trainings.
  • Collaborates with other functions i.e., HR generalists, Payroll and finance.
  • Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities for existing processes and programs and may lead or significantly participate in improvement projects
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

General qualifications include:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Mathematical aptitude, strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Robust interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Well organized with finely tuned attention to detail.
  • Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to produce results.
  • Worked in an international operating company and environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in Business, Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in compensation planning and analysis in a large company environment. Experience with a global company is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of compensation principles and pay practices.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to compensation programs.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Compensation Professional or CIPD certification preferred.
