Why this job is important


The Finance Systems Lead will support the growth and development of our finance products in line with strategic directives and future roadmap.

You will work with internal business leaders and partners to determine what is working (or not), research and deploy new features alongside our strategic partners and provide input and technical advice to our Finance product owners.

The Finance systems estate at Kantar is made up of several ERPs/Finance platforms, but primarily Maconomy and Microsoft.

Ongoing demand for change is high as the business looks to not only mature financial management, but also; business transformation, data initiatives, reporting, consolidation, and M&A activity are all drawing on the global finance systems team.

This is against a backdrop of shifting to a more mature ITSM (IT Service Management).

What you'll be doing

  • Use your strong finance knowledge to create intuitive experiences that deliver business value
  • Confidently communicate our strategy across the organization to influence stakeholders to align behind our objectives
  • Lead teams to define and execute against our most important priorities in service to our vision and strategic goals
  • Establish or participate in Design Thinking, Agile, and Lean rituals which establish a rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of product initiatives
  • Champion the use of the right technology to deliver on product initiatives and strategic intents
  • Serve as an inspiring leader, contributing practitioner, career guide, and mentor to your teams
The skills & experience you'll need.

  • Demonstrable experience in and passion for building and implementing great products
  • Working knowledge and best practice of Finance Systems design in the context of ERP products. Ideally experience of Deltek
  • Maconomy, but also SAP, Oracle, Onestream, Microsoft 365 and Netsuite.
  • Experience working with Product Management, Agile, Design Thinking, and Lean methodologies
  • Experience implementing at least one major ERP lifecycle project
  • Proven experience leading high performing teams
  • Actively support establishing and maturing the target operating model, including documenting processes and procedures
  • Develop and mature relationship with the business, enhancing business confidence in the Enterprise Business Solutions team
  • Strong leader, comfortable communicating to senior leadership and challenging existing paradigms
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technology concepts to nontechnology personnel
  • Take ownership for issues and work to resolve them in a practical manner which aligns with the strategic architecture
  • Customer focused, committed to excellence, strong attention to detail and a great teammate
