Job description:

Current vacancies are for sales-oriented,
highly-experienced and self-motivated
Travel Sales Advisors.

Must be
highly experienced in GDS Amadeus/Sabre with experience in selling retail and wholesale travel products (making flight and hotel reservations).

Applicants must demonstrate
excellent customer service skills. Role timings 10am-6pm Mon-Fri, 10am-1pm Sat, plus out of hours when needed, at our East London office.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:


Include but not limited to:

  • To attend all inbound and outbound telephone calls for Travel Link Worldwide Ltd.
  • To competently use GDS to book, price, amend, cancel, and issue/reissue tickets for customers.
  • Make& price group bookings
  • Provide flight information, package details, answer customer queries or direct them to information regarding fares, baggage allowance, passport validity, VISAs and more.
  • To make all types of booking/reservations and manage them appropriately, including inhouse sales, sales over the phone, and online sales.
  • To serve customers inhouse at London office, answer calls and make flight and hotel/accommodation bookings for all customers.
  • To price, market and sell packages and other travel products for the company.
  • To attend events, marketing, advertising, meetings and training.
  • To handle booking queries, issue tickets, amend booking details, refund or cancel where appropriate for online customers, and inhouse customers.
  • To serve subagent clients, meeting their needs, including checking PNRs, ticketing/issuing tickets, informing them of received payments, issues to do with credit/refunds, quoting fares and more.
  • To communicate information about any cancellation/change of flights to all ticketed passengers as required.
  • To keep updated with airfares and hotel rates, travel advice and more.
  • Responding to all customers' feedback, complaints and comments. Identify problem areas and make recommendations after consultation with supervisors at London office to resolve these complaints diplomatically and with composure.
  • Provide support and perform any other tasks as assigned by management from time to time.
  • Train other staff.
  • Promote the company brand
  • Keep uptodate with product and brand knowledge and utilize marketing skills to attract and retain customers and expand the business.

Responsibilities and Duties

Additional Job responsibilities include yet not limited to: daily sales activities, handling customer enquires on flight and hotel bookings and travel information on our website, visa requirements, airline information, transportation, services and facilities to meet various customer needs, new business development, customer relationship management, marketing and sales of our products to retail and business clients. Must be highly competent with GDS, with experience in retail (and ideally, wholesale) sales. Probation period & terms and conditions apply.

  • Must be able to demonstrate consistency in meeting sales objectives.
  • Must be a quick learner and learn how to use our invoice system.
  • Is presentable, persuasive and dedicated.
  • Is trustworthy and loyal to the company.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills are essential.
  • Must be fluent in English. Proficiency in Bengali/Sylheti is highly advantageous. (Other languages are desirable)
  • Educated to minimum of high school standard, B grades or above.
  • A university degree is advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask is essential.
  • Able to work under pressure, levelheaded, have good decisionmaking skills, be salesoriented, selfmotivated and motivating.
  • Accurate, organized, pays attention to detail.
  • Excellent at meeting deadlines and exceeding sales objectives/targets.
  • Must be able to type relatively fast & be competent using IT, Microsoft outlook, webmail, excellent telephone skills. Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Flexible, adaptable, punctual and excellent attendance record.
  • Must be confident, having a clear telephonic voice, able to work independently, strong desire to help others.
  • Permitted to work in UK, UK resident, free of criminal convictions.

Qualifications and Skills
Must possess MINIMUM 5
years travel sales experience. MUST BE
Highly skilled and trained in GDS Amadeus/Sabre
Knowledge of other GDS systems is a plus.

Must be fluent in English.

Other languages in addition to English are desirable.

Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Turkish, German, Urdu, Somali, Cantonese, Manadarin, Japanese.
