Funeral Service Operative (Ceremonial)
Full-time / Permanent

Priestley & Cockett Funeral Directors / Lincoln

£11, on-call hours + ancillary payments

4 hours per week / (Monday - Friday)

Accruing days holiday + bank holidays | Sick pay eligibility after 12-month qualifying period | Life Assurance 2 x salary

Funeral Service Operative (Ceremonial)

What Will I Be Doing as A Funeral Service Operative?


As a Funeral Service Operative, you will be at the very heart and focal point of our business, persistently delivering consistently high levels of client services to the deceased and their families.


Other duties will include:

  • Deliver consistently high levels of client service to the deceased and their families
  • Participate in the oncall arrangements and bring the deceased into our care
  • Preparing and ensuring the cleanliness of vehicles
  • Support with bringing the deceased into our care
  • Being part of the funeral service by bearing the coffin and driving company vehicles
  • Assisting the Funeral Director with prefuneral checks including route planning and address checking.

What Do I Need?

  • A Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Previous experience within a Customer Service or Administrative position.
  • Proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, both inperson and remotely.
  • Comfortable coming into contact with the deceased through the Chapel of Rest visits.
  • Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential.
  • A passion for customer service

Advantageous:


  • Previous experience in the industry, though this is not required, as full training will be provided.
