Research Data Centre Officer:


Would you like to join a newly established Faculty Research Data Centre? Do you have managerial and operational expertise to effectively organize, manage, promote, and further develop research labs (Bloomberg labs and Smart research lab) and their capabilities?


With a research environment judged to be conducive to producing world leading and internationally excellent research by the REF 2021 panel, the Faculty is investing substantially in the further development of this environment.

Building on investment from Research England to create a Research Smart Lab, the establishment of a Behavioural Lab, the development of a Data Centre housing twenty three datasets and tools, two fully equipped trading rooms, and significant investment in a Faculty Post-Doctoral Fellowship scheme, we are seeking to further enhance this environment to support the Faculty's internationally recognised research with the following appointments:


  • International Research Facilitator
  • Research Data Centre Officer
  • 3 x Post Doctoral Fellowships


Leeds University Business School (LUBS) is a full service business school built on the rigour of disciplinary strength while working in a pluralistic way to deliver impactful research and education.

You will work closely with the Data Centre team, reporting to the Deputy Pro Dean for Research and Innovation, you will support the implementation and further development of our Faculty Data Centre and the services that it provides to our staff and students.


As Research Data Centre Officer you will take the lead role in the management and maintenance of research labs which also have a teaching dimension and LUBS Qualtrics account which include setting up and managing users accounts and access rights and ensuring our practices are aligned with GDPR and the university's information management policy and data storage requirements.

You will provide support to staff and students with their access to databases, data management, and data analysis for research projects.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people.
