The Opportunity


As a HR Advisor you will provide generalist support to our business, getting involved with day-to-day HR activities to provide office and onsite support and advice to line managers and employees.

Key accountabilities

  • Provision of advice and support to key stakeholders on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation, including Performance Management, Capability, Discipline and Grievance
  • Act as a focal point for all stakeholders regarding any issues relating to conditions of employment, benefits, and employee relations. Proactively case manage live employee relations issues.
  • Aid with long term absence case management to ensure a timely return to work where appropriate.
  • Support Site and Client on security and access matters within a Nuclear environment
  • Provide support in preparation of ER/IR documentation. Assist with Trade Union Engagement
  • Conduct and assist the on/off boarding process.
  • Provide advice and support on employment matters relation to staff and national/site agreements.
  • Support and assist with HR projects.

The Person

Experience:


  • Previous experience within an HR role essential
  • Previous experience of working within a unionised environment
  • Knowledge of Working Rule Agreements such as NAECI desirable

Skills:


  • Excellent influencing/negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence, advise and coach
  • Ability to deal with a highvolume workload and prioritise
  • Extensive knowledge of employment legislation

Qualifications:


  • CIPD Member essential or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of generalist HR experience
