The Role:


  • Reviewing sales invoices for pricing
  • Approval of sales invoices using Protean Software
  • Responsible for maintenance contract revenue
  • Processing sales invoices using Sage 200
  • Preparation and submissions of VAT Returns
  • Monthly submission of EC sales
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Processing online payments
  • Provide cover for processing sales receipts and purchase payments
  • Maintenance of stock records
  • Capitalisation of assets
  • Hire purchase journals
  • Hire purchase payment analysis and liability reconciliation
  • Preparation of monthly prepayments and accruals
  • Rental property income and expenditure analysis
  • Reconciliation of ledgers to trial balance at month end
  • Assist in month end reporting process
  • Submission of goods movement using trader support service portal
  • Submission of company pension contributions
  • Provide cover for processing weekly payroll using Sage payroll
  • Posting wages journals to sage
  • General office and Ad hoc duties as required

The Person:


  • AAT Qualification (or) experience in a similar role
  • Experience in using Sage is essential
  • Experience in using Protean Software desirable but not essential
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Organised and punctual
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage own tasks, good time management and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Selfdiscipline, organised, proactive, able to make and justify own decisions
  • Ability to work as part of a team
