Interim Charity Managing Director

Location:
Leeds

Hours: 09:00 - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (2 days office, 3 days home)

Start Date:
ASAP for a 6-month initial contract

Salary:
£60-65K pro rata

Are you a confident leader of people? Are you capable of engaging and bringing your team with you on the business journey during challenging and changing times?

This brilliant charity is looking for an interim Managing Director to ensure the smooth running of the business whilst their Executive Director is on extended leave.

Reporting directly to the Trustees, you will be an important communication channel betweenyour team, volunteers and service users. You will delegate and prioritise as needed, ensuring the charity is able to successfully deliver on its purpose.

Due to the nature of this contract, you will ideally be available to start within the next month and, as you will be joining this charity at a busy time, be ready to hit the ground running.

Please note that a full DBS check will be carried out upon an offer.

Key responsibilities within your role would be:

People management, prioritising/delegating duties to the team and coaching as needed
Liaise with the Trustees in regards to ensuring the purpose of the charity is upheld
Supporting the wider team in the successful delivery of activities and events
Take lead in management of areas within the Charity such as financial planning, budget management, HR, Health and Safety and Governance

Experience and skills required:

Previous experience of effectively leading teams
Confident communicator
Knowledge of Charity Law/Education provision would be ideal though not essential
