Reed Procurement are delighted to be working with a large and well known organisation based in Newcastle to recruit for the role of Commercial Manager.

Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement regulations is key to being successful in this role.
- £52,000

  • Hybrid working
  • Newcastle based

The Role:

  • Take responsibility for developing contracting strategies.
  • Develop commercial Terms and Conditions to suit a variety of contract types.
  • Offer guidance to managers on approaches to take and options to consider.
  • Identify where further advice is required on commercial approaches and Terms and Conditions.
  • Identify where procurement can be consolidated into framework contracts to drive efficiency and value for money.
  • Maximise the opportunities from frameworks available.

The Person:

  • Public Sector Procurement experience.
  • Extensive experience of using standard Forms of Contract.
  • Able to identify contract and commercial opportunities and risks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrable Commercial Management experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management.
