We are looking for Independent Assessors to join us in our newly developed fostering service, in partnership between Homes2Inspire, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset CountyCouncil.


This is an exciting opportunity to join our high needs fostering service, who will recruit and support fostering households to provide long term homes for children whose needs can be?met in a highly skilled and supported foster service.

This may be childrenready to move from residential homes or as an?alternative to prevent a child going into residential care.


The role offers lots of scope for development and progression for the right person within this innovative and forward-thinking service.

What you'll bring

  • An enthusiasm for working in an exciting new partnership program and as part of one of the UK's largest charities, Shaw Trust
  • Qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England
  • At least 2 years' experience working with children in care and fostering services
  • Essential to have experience in fostering, ideally with an independent fostering agency.
  • A full UK driving license
  • An enhanced DBS will be required (funded by Homes and Horizons)

About the partnership


Homes2inspire Limited, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset County Council have formed a unique partnership to offer homes and support for children and young people within Somerset who have experienced significant trauma and difficulties in their lives.

We are creating a different sort of home and care for children and young people which offers them flexibility and support from a full range of people that can help them.

This high needs fostering service is part of a wider service we are developing togetherincluding, children's homes, CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services) intensive treatment houses and therapeutic education.

Homes2inspire is a leading provider of Children's Homes with 30 homes across the UK. Our teams strive for excellence for ourchildren.?

The partnership is also able to offer wider support and clinical supervision with mental health and social work practitioners. Working as part of a diverse multi-disciplinary professional team offers you the opportunity to share and develop best practice.
