Senior Estimator - Newcastle

Job Type:
Full Time, Permanent
You will report to the Associate Estimating Director.

The purpose and responsibility of this role is to play a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of the business plan for a rapidly expanding team.

You will be responsible for managing and planning resources, fostering a collaborative, professional, and positive working environment and delivering an appropriate estimating role.


Responsibilities/ Skill Set:


  • Enhance our estimating capability which will include leading on the development of Cost X, Cost OS and other established estimating software's.
  • Lead our community of practice, driving technical excellence, service innovation, and supporting the development of our benchmarking capabilities.
  • Delivering excellent client service on our commissions through quality assurance and regular client care.
  • Develop, mentor and support your teams on project / technical delivery.
  • Responsible for growing the existing team and building long term, sustainable team relationships with transportation clients.
  • Balance between delivery, team management, business growth, both externally with key strategic partners and new clients and internally across the entire business.
  • You will be accountable for the successful delivery of multiple commissions and will support the Estimating Director and Head of Discipline in recruiting highcalibre individuals to deliver excellence to clients and uphold our brand reputation positively.
  • Expected to drive profitable growth for the team, act as a mentor to others, drive the overall performance of the business moving forward.

Requirements:


  • Must have recognised expertise in estimating services across infrastructure sectors such as Rail, Highways, Water, Aviation etc.
  • Have a strong network within the transport infrastructure sector.
  • Proven track record of service innovation, technical excellence, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Previous experience working on major projects/programmes of work.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing the transport sector and the opportunities available.
