We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile utilities clients. They are currently looking for a Project Manager to join them for an initial 6 month contract.Main Purpose:
Our client's Transmission and Metering team is currently seeking a Junior Project Manager with Agile/ Scrum Master experience to support the delivery of projects in the solutions development team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage each project's scope, cost, quality and timeline.
- Work with senior stakeholders and product owners to manage backlogs, change requests and new requirements.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, project team and delivery partners to ensure project delivery is done to highest standards.
- Monitor and control allocated project resources, maintaining financial and progress forecasting in order to ensure projects are delivered according to schedule and within budget.
- Implement project tracking and reporting mechanisms to be able to provide timely and concise updates on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders highlighting areas of risk and capturing key decisions.
- Help team design and build software solutions effectively
- Remove the obstacles or impediments faced by the team in its work
- Mentor the team members to adopt Agile mindset, including ownership, selfmanagement and empowerment.
- Guide the team members to achieve optimum productivity through process improvement
- Help the team manage and track progress through Azure DevOps.
- Responsible for Azure DevOps reporting and managing team velocity rates
- Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
- Help build a productive environment where team members 'own' the product and enjoy working on it
- Participate and drive dependency management with coprogram scrum teams
- Participate in Scrum of Scrum activities for the program supporting with daytoday admin tasks required for smooth running of the project.?
- Managing system accesses, tools, licenses, etc?
- Supporting in raising IT vendor requests like PO's, Joiner, Leavers, etc?
- Managing invoices and payments?
- Support in arranging workshops, key meetings, governance boards?
- Provide timely reports and updates to key stakeholders; and managing RAID of the project.?
Qualifications Required:
Minimum:
- Track record of delivering projects successfully.
- Experience as a ScrumMaster within a Release train
- Experience working in a software development environment
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
- Good knowledge of AGILE frameworks
- Solid knowledge of project management fundamentals and project management practices within an Agile framework.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Problemsolving and conflictresolution ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)
- Experience with transformation projects
Preferred:
- Scrum master certification
- Experience in any ERP
- Experience in Asset Management
- Project and/or financial reporting experience
Location:
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work from the clients Warwick office 1 to 2 days a week
Working hours:
Standard working hours with some flex where required.
