HR Business Partner


Castlefield Recruitment are working in partnership with an NHS organisation in York that requires a HR Business Partner on an initial 3 month temporary assignment beginning in January.

The salary bracket for this post is between £24 and £29 per hour dependingon experience and the client supports a hybrid working style.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Work with the designated services on their workforce priorities particularly in relation to issues such as staff wellbeing (inc. sickness absence), recruitment and retention, Staff Survey results, talent management (inc. appraisals) and statutory & mandatorytraining.
  • Within a legislative and consistent framework develop pragmatic, creative, and flexible HR solutions to issues that meet business needs.
  • Ensure diversity and inclusion are at the forefront of all people management strategies and integrated into all recruitment, ER, sickness management, leadership development and management training. This includes supporting and promoting the work of employeenetworks.
  • Coach and influence managers to develop their people management and leadership skills, constructively challenge inappropriate behaviours and deal with difficult and contentious issues
  • To develop, review, and amend key HR policies and procedures that are organisationally appropriate, deliver good practice and are legally compliant, ensuring effective communication and implementation across all functions.

Key experience and skills will include:

  • Educated to graduate level and professional HR qualification or equivalent experience
  • CIPD preferred
  • Demonstrable experience as a HR specialist in a complex multi professional organisation
  • Effective communicator both verbally and in writing, across all levels within the organisation
  • NHS experience is desirable
