Job summary:

Two exciting opportunities have arisen to lead the Economic Coercion Team and the Market Distorting Practices, International Strategy & Engagement team in the Department for Business & Trade.

The Head of Economic Coercion and the Head of Market Distorting Practices, International Strategy & Engagement will lead interesting, challenging and important work that really matters to the UK.

Addressing economic coercion and market distorting practices is a priority for the UK Government to ensure free and fair trade, maintain the integrity and sustainability of the rules-based multilateral trading system, and support UK businesses.

These are high-profile roles, with considerable Ministerial interest, that will provide ample opportunity for variety, development and stretch.

The roles will also be equally rewarding, sitting at the heart of some of the most interesting geopolitical and economic challenges of our time, with potentially far-reaching real-world impacts.

These are new teams and the roles also present strong leadership opportunities: both in terms of building a new team but also in terms of identifying new and innovative ways to address the policy challenges.
