Project Manager - Audio Visual

Warrington, WA1

£30k-35k dependent on experience

Full Time, Permanent

Previous experience of digital communications AV /WIFI/ IRS/ Network Engineer is preferred and experience in the Hospitality industry would be an advantage

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Audio and Visual (AV) team.

This role would ideally be suited to an existing AV or similar Project Manager or an AV Engineer who would like to progress into the project management side of the business.


Position Summary


As a Project Manager for AV your role will be to manage and be solely responsible for the liaison, co-ordination, and implementation of customer projects.

You will contribute to the growth and development of new business within this sector, making SCS oneof the key recognised companies for our services nationall


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer accounts as directed
  • Ensuring all processes are undertaken prior to client being able to issue orders
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and in an efficient manner in compliance with the contract requirements and to our clients' satisfaction
  • Produce quotations and project plans which determine time frames, resource requirements and procedures.
  • Attendance of meetings and undertaking technical site surveys where required
  • Production of project documentation including risk assessment and method statements, project programs and project consumables
  • Evaluation of sales orders / BOM prior to ordering / technical schematics and drawings prior to project commencement
  • Manage project scheduling and staffing with inhouse and subcontracted labour. Identify resources required, select appropriate project personnel, and assign individual responsibilities
  • Work with client and Sales department to ensure all scope changes are captured, approved, and actioned
  • Communicate project progress and status, both internally and with the client, through regular project updates
  • Ensuring the final commissioning and fault finding is completed on time in conjunction with the tech team
  • Assisting with system handovers to clients and Service Department where required
  • Compilation, approval, and submission of O&M documentation to main contractors / clients
  • Dissemination of information to ensure that all relevant staff are aware of the contractual requirements required by the customer.
  • To undertake monthly project activities by 5th of each month for closing of monthly accounts, with a summary of the month's activity, including sell & cost figures.
  • Being available to travel nationally or internationally should this be required
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure they are implemented.

Essential Attributes for the successful Project Manager:

  • It is necessary to demonstrate an understanding of AV equipment and possess other technical experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to liaise between the customer, the end user, and the Engineer seamlessly
  • Health and Safety knowledge (RAMS etc)
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally / internationally on occasion when required
  • This role is not one bound by normal office hours due to the requirement to travel to the various customer sites, third party premises and possible overseas travel.

Desirable Attributes:


  • Previous experience of digital communications IRS/ AV/WIFI/Network Engineer is essential
  • Suitable skills/experience: Project management, Administrator, Customer Services, Digital Communications, Engineer, Account Management


You must be proactive, self-motivated, hands on, have a can-do attitude and have a willingness to learn and get involved.
