We're looking for an Independent Nuclear Assurance Site Inspector to join our team based at Sizewell B.The Opportunity

As a Nuclear professional or safety professional from a comparable high hazard regulated industry, you'll form a key part of the site-based INA (Independent Nuclear Assurance) team at Sizewell B Power Station providing independent assurance of compliance and promoting excellence in safe nuclear power plant operations.
The on-site team provide oversight across the full range of safety areas including nuclear, conventional and environmental safety as well as security.

What you'll be doing
As an INA Inspector you'll:
- Challenge stakeholders at Sizewell B in areas of nuclear, environmental and radiological safety that relate to the station operation and compliance.
- Take the lead on INA programmes as required.
- Monitor compliance with Site Licence conditions and current Health and Safety legislation across the site.
- Challenge station performance to achieve best standards in accordance with WANO Performance Objectives and Criteria (PO&C).
- Undertake risk informed inspections and surveillances producing appropriating reporting and actions.
- Provide regular independent oversight to the Sizewell B station team on various business processes. You'll attend meetings with key stakeholders and advise on areas such as; Work Review Group, Ops Focus, Station Lead Team, CARB, OSRC and ODM meetings
- Collaboratively produce weekly and quarterly reports as well as Inspection/Assessment Programme for Sizewell B.
- Present the reports to Station management team and other EDF NG management.
- Observe and assess Emergency Exercises to support the fleet programme.
- Represent INA on aspects of the Corrective Action Programme as requested by Sizewell B or the business.
- Track agreed actions through to completeness, making note of quality and timeliness.
- Evaluate trends, events, metrics and observations to generate insight on safety performance.
Who you are
You'll hold a HNC (or equivalent), ideally in a relevant technical field that will compliment your role as an INA Site Inspector / Evaluator and have an awareness of the Nuclear or comparable industry, including regulatory practices and processes.
Your stakeholder management will be second to none creating robust relationships across large, complex organisations with all level of colleagues as well as external to the Business.
Ideally, you'll have sound knowledge of management of safety within the company, as well as our Human Performance tools, and embedded nuclear safety culture principles to enhance safe and reliable performance.
