E.G. Lewis & Co. Ltd is a medium business in Neath. Our goal is to Skelton Thomas Engineering Ltd are seeking a QC/Planning Coordinator to join our Equipment Refurbishment Division. The successful applicant will be based at Llandarcy, Neath.

The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week and offers a competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience) and potential for career development into a managerial role.

• Scheduling of strip/inspect and repair work for items such as valves, safety valves, hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders, roll assemblies and various other mechanical equipment
• Organisation and coordination of NDT inspections and records
• Carrying out staged inspections of repairs in progress and final inspections prior to despatch
• Investigating and reporting on any nonconformances identified
• Retaining all relevant QA records relating to each job in an organised and traceable manner
• Assisting the Workshop Manager with forecasting delivery dates for financial purposes
• Assisting the Workshop Manager with identifying repair status at each month end for valuation of work in progress
• Assisting the Workshop Manager with quoting work (no prior experience in this area necessary)
• Laptop and phone provided for business use.

Essential:

• Mechanical engineering background
• IT Literate, familiar with MS Office programmes including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must be enthusiastic and committed
• Good organisational skills
• Able to commute to and from Llandarcy area
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a QA/QC role
• Previous experience in a Planning role

• Monday to Friday

• Neath: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
