The Role:
Regulatory Affairs Specialist


As the
Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be part of the Quality Assurance and Compliance Department as part of the team monitoring compliance activities under the guidance of the Head of Quality and Compliance.

You'll be responsible for compiling data and implementing strategic direction to ensure all compliance is maintained in all importation and manufacturing transactions, auditing business processes to evidence compliance.

The
Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be key in coordinating and maintaining Compliance activities across the company to all applicable chemical regulatory schemes.

You will have a working knowledge of regulations such as UK-REACH, EUREACH, CLP, GHS and knowledge of TSCA would be highly advantageous.

You will be able to quickly assimilate the requirements of other Global schemes as necessary. You will provide support to UK and USA Luxfer MEL Technologies sites. You will demonstrate excellent teamwork to provide compliance support and direction for all areas of the business.


Regulatory Affairs Specialist duties will include, although not be limited to:

  • Work safely and comply with all company HSE requirements
  • Manage/complete the Global reporting, Safety Data Sheet delivery, notification and registrations required for commercial and strategic direction/growth projects;
  • Monitor and track budgetary requirements to achieve compliance activities;
  • Input into the Quality Assurance and Compliance Scorecard to meet agreed departmental KPI's;
  • Work with Management and all business stakeholders to support and foster continuous improvement throughout the company
  • Carry out internal audits and audits of external suppliers and sub contracted processes with the Quality Team to advise on Compliance aspects
  • Contributing to the ERP system to provide reporting mechanisms for compliance activities

What you will need to be considered for this Regulatory Affairs Specialist vacancy?

  • Proven experience gained within a regulatory role dealing with UK and EU REACH registrations, ideally gained within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Global Regulatory Schemes
  • Experience of using software packages for reporting / registrations (such as IUCLID, CDX)
  • Ability to travel internationally


You will be employed on a permanent contract working from our site in Swinton, Greater Manchester, working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexibility required to work Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays to meet business need.
