POSITION OVERVIEW:

The H&S Trainer will be based on site at Numatic International, Chard. We are looking for an experienced trainer to deliver training to our employees on a range of powered trucks.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for teaching and who is ready to share their knowledge and experience with new forklift operators.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for the development and presentation of the Company's forklift and other training courses.
  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing colleagues, emphasising safe practices and procedures.
  • To prepare and maintain any records, reports or other documents associated with the responsibilities expected of a trainer.
  • Assist in the development of training courses including presentation and handout materials as directed by the Company.
  • To make recommendations for training aids and/or publications.
  • The ability to instruct and inspire delegates.
  • Ability to adapt their techniques to suit learning needs of delegates.
  • Maintain accurate training records and certifications.
  • Some shift work and nights may be required.

QUALIFCATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Applicants must hold a RTITB or ITSSAR accredited qualification and must be able to demonstrate a minimum of six months experience driving forklift trucks. Applicants will need to hold a Counterbalance License.
  • Ability to train on other MHE would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, Word (basic knowledge).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
