There are few jobs where you can make a real difference to the 40 million consumers of financial products, the 2 million people who work in the UK Financial Services industry, and the stability of our economy.

The FCA has three objectives. It is responsible for ensuring that markets operate with integrity; promoting effective competition; and protecting consumers of financial services.

In Data, Technology and Innovation, we believe in doing things differently. We believe the best approach is sometimes a new approach. We place emphasis on curiosity and experimentation. We collaborate widely with academics, innovative companies and the rest of the FCA.

We believe that people need space to continue learning and the support to develop new ideas, so we commit to giving them both.

The Data Strategy & Services (DS&S) department supports the FCA's Data Strategy by enhancing the value of data through Data Management activities and providing central co-ordination of all data-related activities.

The departments key responsibilities include:

  • Management and collection of adhoc data
  • Providing Data Quality assurance on businesscritical datasets
  • Delivering insightful analysis using data, information, and intelligence
  • Driving forward business system changes which support Data Management activities

The Data Quality Associate role provides a great opportunity to offer critical Data Quality services to the FCA, whilst contributing to the development and delivery of the FCA's data agenda as part of the wider departmental activities.

It is an opportunity to join a new and innovative team.
