Head of Clinical Services (Acute) for this hospital in Nottingham - this service caters for up to 50 patients covering ward and theatre surgical and medical procedures - a reputable compliant service in the region.

As Head of Clinical Services, you will provide clinical leadership and operational management to all clinical service areas being an instrumental part in the Senior Leadership Team.

You will promote a patient-focused service, whilst ensuring the provision is cost-effective and to the highest standards of patient safety.

You will need to maintain excellent standards of clinical governance and quality whilst always being available to staff and patients and their families.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership for all clinical staff through Heads of Departments
Lead and develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders e.g. Consultants, General Practitioners, Care Quality Commission and Local Trusts
Build effective controls for the monitoring and management of the nursing services and deliver effective action plans for continuous improvement
Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are achieved by the clinical departments
Provide effective deployment of resources needed to sustain agreed activity levels
Build effective controls for the monitoring and management of clinical records

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

NMC registration
A strong clinical background in acute surgical/medical care
Demonstrable experience in leading and developing a service and team
Experience in managing finances and budgets
Comprehensive understanding of legal and professional standards
Evidence of proven success at a similar level role
A commitment to the development of high quality evidence based acute care is essential, combined with personal drive, enthusiasm, creativity and resilience.

This role is part of the management team salary is very much dependent on the person, experience, interview between £65,000 - £75,000 per annum + healthcare, pension, life assurance, ongoing training and development and working in a small dedicated and friendly team
