This is 24 month fixed term, part time position (30 hours). Salary advertised will be calculated pro-rata.
About the role


The Turnaround Worker has been designed using an Early Help approach to enable us to improve the outcomes for children on the cusp of the justice system.

It will enable us to expand best practice in early intervention and deliver evidence-based interventions, whilst maintaining a non-criminogenic approach, with the ultimate aim of preventing the child (re)offending.


  • Completing written assessments and reports on young people and families.
  • Work with young people and their families in an individual or group settings.
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships, including with young people, families and professionals.
  • Ability to work as part of an effective and supportive team.
About you


To meet the requirements of this position, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual that is educated to degree standard in a relevant field which can include but not exclusive to social work, criminology, law, psychology or sociology.

The individual must have knowledge of the Criminal Justice System in relation to Children and Young People, and has a good understanding of safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and processes.

They must be able to demonstrate their experience of working in social, educational, health, youth, community or youth justice settings where they have had to develop and maintain successful relationships with young people, families and professionals.

The individual needs to feel confident in completing written assessments and reports on young people and families, and maintain service standards by accurate and timely record keeping.

The individual must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a car.
