Finance Assistant


Private Jet Charter Limited is a fast-growing, Whitstable-based company that provides financial and administrative support to the CEO and CFO.

The Finance Assistant will work closely with the CEO and Finance Director to manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department.

This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for learning more about the financial side of business.


We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant, whose role is to deal with our day to day accounts, support our Finance Manager and sales team in developing the processes and systems to support and deliver an excellent customer service.


Requirements and skills

  • Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
  • Organisational and timemanagement skills
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Positive approach to teamwork and work in general
  • Passionate about delivering a high level of service, work hard and progress
  • Previous experience in a fast paced service environment
  • Strong understanding of the Finance Operation
  • Preparation and distribution of daily gross profit summary
  • Sales Ledger processing and reconciliation
  • Purchase Ledger processing and reconciliation
  • Supplier payments
  • Assisting with VAT Returns
  • Basic / Intermediate MS Excel
  • Detail orientated, and precise
  • Daily updating of the flight calendar
  • Flexibile the role requires some out of hours work, any extra hours worked can be taken in lieu at a later date

£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
