About The Role


Location:
Worsley, Manchester


Days & Hours:
Permanent hours up to 30.5 hours per week.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am to 4.00pm. Wednesday and Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm. These hours can be worked by more than one person.

Bank hours are also available to cover for absences of the current team, during the week and some weekends as well as trips away.


Pay:
£12.20 per hour, Monday to Friday and £14.30 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays

Driver required? Desirable but not essential.

Driving Clients Car? Yes, possibly our clients Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV)

Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, occasionally may be required.


Essential:
C
are work experience.


Desirable:
Experience supporting adults with physical difficulties. An interest in therapy and supporting the client in trying new things.


Family Pets:2 small dogs.

Introducing our client
Our client has a bubbly personality and sense of fun. She loves looking her best and her personal appearance is very important to her.

She has a great sense of humour, is very sociable and loves mini breaks and holidays away with her family and carers.


You will be joining her small care team where you will be taking direction from our client's parent and Case Manager to ensure that she receives all the care she requires.

Our client requires full assistance with her daily routines and all of her personal care needs.

She requires assistance for hoisting, support with monitoring her health needs and providing stimulating company whilst assisting with all daily activities to include therapy and leisure activities.


This role will suit someone who enjoys getting out and about and can bring lots of enthusiasm to support our client in trying new things.

Pay and Benefits:

£12.20- £14.30 per hour, depending on shift as above
On-going training & support provided
5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
Sick Pay entitlement
Free DBS check.


In order to promote continuity of our high care standards, you will be offered:

  • Induction,
  • Relevant training opportunities (including The Care Certificate),
  • Regular clinical supervision/review meetings,
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated Team Leader, Case Manager and HR department

This position will require:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK;

  • Female due to providing personal care
  • Must be able to work with specialist equipment (training will be provided). A Handling Management Plan is available and is designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you may be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull.
  • Experience supporting adults with physical disabilities.
  • Confident and comfortable working in our client's own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of her and her family
  • Can demonstrate commitment and passion for meeting our client's needs
  • Can demonstrate empathy and understanding in an appropriate and professional manner
  • A team player who understands the importance of feedback to qualified members of the team
  • Can develop productive and professional relationships with others
