ROLE OVERVIEW

Oakley Food Projects Ltd are looking for a practical and enthusiastic foreman to manage and coordinate the finishing of a project based in Dunstable.

As a self-motivated individual, you will need strong communication skills working closely with the internal team and external parties which will mainly be sub-contractors.

Being able to issue clear updates, guidance and instruction to parties involved.

We're looking for an individual who is not afraid to face challenges and take ownership to rectify these. Able to visualise the clients end goal and suggest ways of being able to achieve these managing time scales.

Can clearly determine what 'good' looks like and enjoys finishing sections of the project in detail, who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and ensure the site is kept to a tidy standard at all times.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a finishing foreman, you'd be responsible for overseeing one construction project and ensuring that completed work meets the standards and quality required by the Operations Director.

The job role of a finishing foreman involves the following duties:

Liaising with colleagues and sub-contractors.
Enforcing onsite Health and Safety Management, completing onsite work permits. Making sure everyone onsite is wearing PPE.
Ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
Reporting on project progress to senior managers and stakeholders, including photo evidence of this.
Conducting quality and safety inspections.
Be able to interpret and understand technical drawings, ensuring work is finished to the agreed standards,
Maintaining quality control checks.
Coordinating teams onsite.
Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
Signing off completed work.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

2+ years management in the construction sector, involvement with completion of fit out projects.
Relevant trade experience such as a Carpentry, Plumbing or Electrician, being on the tools.
