This position of AWS Platform Engineer is for a technology consultancy based in the heart of London. Home to a team made up of digital, intelligence and cyber space experts.

As they are a fully in-house operation seeing their products through from designand build to maintenance and aftercare, they are able to provide a digital advantage in the most demanding of environments giving their clients the freedom to grow their organisations safely and securely.

The Role:

Working on a variety of projects and services while communicating with a wide range of stakeholders to define standard platforms and procedures at various stages of the software development lifecycle in an agile environment, you will be on the bleeding edgeof cloud technology and solutions.

You will be encouraged to be innovative and take initiative in your work while offering senior engineering help where necessary because this organisation fosters both professional and personal growth.

Additionally, you willbe helped to improve your abilities via ongoing training and development and will be a part of a group of engineers that value information exchange.

Responsibility:

Design, build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure
Design, build and maintain build and release pipelines.
Deploy and monitor software and configuration changes
Automate efficient working practices where possible

Requirements:

Essential -

Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
Microsoft Azure with attention on their Platform as a Service offerings (App Services, Azure SQL, CosmosDB)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code. Preferably ARM templates.
Web based authentication flows such as OAuth or SAML
Effective source control management with Git# Expertise in monitoring large distributed systems using technologies such as ELK or Grafana.

Desirable -

Experience with container management and microservices architectures such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience of working in an Agile environment
Experience of working with other cloud environments such as AWS & Google Cloud
