What you'll do
We're excited to be looking for a Welfare Benefits Officer to join our busy frontline team to make sure our customers continue to receive a service second to none - and we need you

This position will be based from either Windsor or Slough, covering a wide geography down to Portsmouth, so travel will be required.

You'll ensure our customers' wellbeing remains at the heart of everything we do - it's our priority that they're supported throughout their tenancy and their homes remain safe and managed to the highest standard.

Remember, we don't just want to do things the way they've always been done, we want to do things even better

No two days will be the same in this role so enthusiasm, a can-do attitude and a genuine passion for always wanting to go the extra mile will be essential.

You will have a working and up to date knowledge of what benefits are available to support our customers such as Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.

You will also look to maximise their income whether it is through benefits or support with budgeting. You will work closely with numerous teams around Abri and look to build and maintain relationships with external organisations.

You will also be providing support and advice to our new customers to ensure that they are able to pay their rent from the start and sustain their tenancy going forward.

You'll have the confidence and assertiveness to engage with customers, sometimes managing difficult conversations, and using your excellent people skills to support them.
