Maintenance Worker

Hours: 40 hours - 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Our client, a well-respected charity, provides support to improve the lives of families and people using their services


Synopsis of duties:


  • Carrying out short term reactive repairs and maintenance, internally and externally
  • Basic Carpentry/Joinery
  • Manual Handling
  • Painting and Decorating
  • To assist plumbers, electricians and other outside contractors and ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard
  • On a daytoday basis, carry out work as necessary in accordance with health and hygiene regulations
  • Keeping the appearance of the centre to a high standard
  • Undertake training as deemed necessary
  • Work as part of the staff team within the centre to ensure the overall aims of the agency are achieved
  • Conduct building checks and identify any maintenance issues.

Essential Requirements:


  • Physically fit and in good health
  • Practical experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Trade knowledge
  • Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months and/ or registered on the DBS Update Service

£14.00 per hour
