Description

The Customer Service Assistant will provide excellent customer service levels to all our client base and respond to customer inquiries, issues, or queries.

The Customer Service Assistant will report directly to the Operations Manager.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Undertake all work as instructed by your supervisor.
  • Ensure full compliance on all policies and procedures.
  • Ensure daily communications between Operations and our customer base is communicated effectively.
  • Deliver excellent customer care and management of customer's expectations.
  • Be commercially astute and ensure costs are recovered or passed onto a Supervisor / Manager.
  • Understand and utilize TOPS as our main operating system.
  • Understand the accounting and financial processes and requirements.
  • Provide spot quotations to customers.
  • Ensure bookings are put into TOPS in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure all clearances, releases and restitutions are dealt with in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitor POD requests.
  • Ensure good time management.
  • Ensure your supervisor is aware of your workload and ability to complete.
  • Offer suggestions to drive forward performance or ideas that promote value to the company.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of customer service procedures and principles.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to resolve customer queries and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanour.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in TOPS, destin8 and other related systems.
  • At least one year of customer service experience required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
