Description

Trading Assistant to support the Equity Delta 1 Trading desk in London as a point of contact for Middle Office and Back Office to support the post-execution activity of the Equity D1 business.

Global Equities is a Division of Corporate and Investment Banking, which trades across all Equity Markets globally.


Responsibilities:


  • Booking trades into Front Office trade capture systems and monitoring the timely receipt and booking of customer subaccount allocations on trade date.
  • Monitoring and resolving trade booking / confirmation exceptions on trade date.
  • Manage and monitor the Electronic Trade Confirmation process (Oasys Global / CTM) with a focus to resolving all issues on trade date.
  • Ensuring that any risk issues are identified, prioritised, managed and escalated appropriately.
  • Internal liaison with Sales Traders in the UK and Europe.
  • Liaison with Operations and corporate actions on trade issues.
  • External liaison with institutional clients in Europe in particular on trade issues across all markets.
  • Ability to support top tier clients with queries on all markets.
  • Liaison with other support departments, such as Operations, other Middle Office functions, sales and trading desk.
  • Monitor performance trends and work with other Teams and Departments to identify solutions for process improvement.
  • A strong commitment to completing the day's work on trade date is expected as essential.

Qualifications:


  • Advantage to have experience of working in Equities Middle Office or Equity Operations.
  • Product knowledge of Equity Delta 1 business an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Trade Confirmation process (Oasys Global / CTM).
  • Awareness of other products an advantage.
  • Risk awareness and good attention to detail.
  • Good Microsoft knowledge expected.
  • Advanced Excel, Word or PowerPoint a distinct advantage.
  • Must have a high level of accuracy and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels essential.
  • Self motivated with commitment to working until the job is done.
  • Good planning and organisational skills needed.
  • Ability to work under pressure and until the day's work is complete essential.
  • Commitment to owning issues through to resolution on the same day is essential.
  • Must be client focussed and highly professional in representing the firm.
  • A flexible and hardworking approach is needed as the role can involve long hours, meticulous attention to detail and tight deadlines.
