International Officer Pathway Recruitment (China and East Asia)

Hybrid - 1 or 2 days a week maximum in London Campus. You will need to be based in the Uk.

We're currently on an exciting growth trajectory and are looking to welcome a full-time International Officer Pathway Recruitment (China and East Asia) into our market leading QAHE Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions team.

This is a hybrid-based role, ideally out of our London Campus, but can be worked remotely within the UK.


About the Position:


  • The primary purpose of this role is to work with our Agents to recruit Students from the China and East Asia market into to our awardwinning University programmes.

Develop and manage the sales channels across the region for Pathway, delivering against the recruitment targets across all Pathway recruitment channels, including agent, direct and partner.

Ensure a coherent and effective approach to market by QAHE that supports positive brand and business developmentIt's working within a busy team, but a team who are all really friendly, all work to help each other out, and who love to socialise with one another.

This role would be a great fit if you are fluent in Mandarin, both written and orally, and you have experience in the Chinese Education System.

There is also a requirement to travel for around 8 to 10 weeks to Malaysia, Hong Kong and SE Asia.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To be responsible for producing, delivering and measuring the Pathway International recruitment strategy within a defined region
  • To manage the performance against target of enrolled students through an effective network of channels.
  • To work closely with the wider marketing and recruitment team, including admissions and marketing, to ensure a coherent and sector leading approach
  • Contribute to the wider business through sharing of best practice and engagement with the wider marketing and recruitment community
  • Research and operationalise an effective marketing and recruitment plan to ensure all targets are met, our brand is enhanced, and entry requirements are adhered to
  • Be an integral part of the China and East Asian recruitment team
  • Develop a large amount of knowledge, understanding for Chinese and UK education system and market
  • Develop strong, long term relationships with representatives and key personnel within the China and East Asia market

About You:

You'll be a self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and spot new opportunities, and the following experience and abilities will also be required to thrive in this exciting position:

  • Commercially focussed
  • High proficiency in both English and Mandarin written and verbal
  • Must have experience recruiting international students from East Asia market into the UK
  • Skilled negotiator
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong customer focus, committed to ensuring delivery of excellent service standards
  • Ability to operate at all levels of the organisation acting as an ambassador for the International Office and University internally and externally
  • A highly driven and motivated individual
  • An ability to get a large team to work collaboratively towards targets
  • Ability to work with multiple university partners
  • A highly organised individual with the ability to manage a diverse workload
  • Capable of building strong working relationships and networks with people across the sector and university partners

You'll also need to be:

  • Educated at degree level
  • Have a high level of business acumen
  • A track record of success in sales environment
  • Experience of working in a compliance related capacity
  • Knowledge of International Student Recruitment
  • Understanding of the Higher Education industry and regulatory
  • Knowledge of UKVI rules and policies
  • A detailed understanding of recruitment to all QA Higher Education university partners is considered strongly advantageous
