Description

Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organising, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Pick and Pack orders which will involve using a forklift.
  • Check orders which have been picked by a colleague.
  • Carry out rework tasks such as reboxing, wrapping pallets and assembling products.
  • Carry out goodsin, including quality control.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation, inventory management and shipping.
  • Train, develop and manage a warehouse team to solve daytoday operational issues and reach short and long term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Carry out regular safety checks on work equipment and oversee planned maintenance.
  • Support stock procurement by carrying out rolling stock checks.
  • Manage and assess returns for credit where required.
  • Liaise with transport companies on service.
  • Provide weekly reporting of Warehouse activity & accomplishments, attend management meetings as required.
  • Carrying out internal QC checks as directed.
Characteristics & Requirements

  • Experience of working as part of a team and a flexible approach to work is essential.
  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Applicants should be conscientious and have experience of checking products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Applicants must have a good attendance and time keeping record.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Full training on the role will be given.
  • A highly organised team player, demonstrating a respectful and mature attitude towards colleagues and peers.
  • Have an awareness of H&S responsibilities in the warehouse.
  • Be highly motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong administrative and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to manage and plan time whilst working in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Excellent communication skills in person, written and over the phone.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle enquiries and situations in a calm, efficient manner.
  • To be wellpresented, polite and tactful.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional leadership team.
  • Good leadership skills and/or a willingness to develop management style.
