Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced steel fixer to join our team. You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to steel construction. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting, tying, and the use of power tools.

Duties:

Install and erect structural steel frames, beams, and columns
Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and fit metal pieces
Assist with the installation of reinforcing bars for concrete structures
Perform rigging operations to move heavy materials
Inspect and maintain equipment and tools
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience as an steel fixer
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
Have a valid CSCS skills card for Steel fixing
Mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools effectively
Experience working with hand tools commonly used in steel fixing
Comfortable working at heights,

We offer competitive rate of pay which will be agreed based on your experience and this being accessed by the project manager.

£18.00-£23.00 per hour
